A Word from Our CEO,
Mr Ken Takagi
Entrepreneurship runs deep in the veins of our family; half a century ago we began the energy business. Our foray into hospitality was a serendipitous one, when we operated our first franchised restaurant in Japan. Over 20 years, we triumphed, stumbled, and added concepts, all of which crystallized into our portfolio of over 50 establishments today.
Leveraging our experience, we created our own brands: Kangeki Tanuki, Takagi udon, belleville, Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen, Honebuto Mucho, Teppan Umami Kingyo and more. We started to have more control over the direction. Yet underpinning the different brands, our mission of hospitality, purpose for all stakeholders and talent development never once changed.
Why franchise? In order to increase the access to value-for-money, quality Japanese food to enrich people, we target more than 50 Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen stores in Southeast Asia within the next five years. At the same time, Sunpark Co. Ltd. will work towards public listing.
With food at the heart, we shall grow towards improving people’s minds and health.
